AKTU Back Paper Rules 2026
Maximum Back Papers Allowed
- Maximum Carry Forward: 5 subjects maximum
- More than 5 backs: Year back (cannot proceed to next semester)
- 8th Semester: No limit, but must clear all to get degree
Year Back Policy
If you have more than 5 back papers after any semester, you cannot:
- Proceed to next semester
- Fill exam form for next semester
- Attend classes of higher semester
You must:
- Clear back papers to reduce count below 5
- Re-register for the year
- Pay fees again
Back Paper Exam Schedule

Back Paper Fees
- Per Subject: ₹300-500 (approximately)
- Pay during exam form filling
- Online payment through ERP
Important Rules
- No limit on number of attempts
- Must apply for each back paper attempt
- Cannot skip back paper exams
- Attendance not required for back papers
- Same syllabus as regular exam
- Must clear all backs to get degree

- Login to AKTU ERP portal
- Go to Examination section
- Select back paper exam form
- Choose subjects to appear
- Pay fees online
- Download admit card before exam
