Department Overview

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad is among the most well-equipped ME departments in the NCR under AKTU, offering B.Tech Mechanical Engineering with a strong emphasis on design, manufacturing, thermodynamics, and advanced Industry 4.0 technologies.

What sets KIET ME apart is its forward-looking approach to mechanical engineering education. Beyond the standard AKTU curriculum, the department has established dedicated labs for CAD/CAM integration, CNC machining, and an Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing Lab โ€” the last of which incorporates automation, robotics, machine learning for predictive maintenance, digital twins, and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) systems used in modern manufacturing plants.

KIET ME department is also a strong supporter of PSU recruitment pathways, with dedicated GATE coaching for Mechanical Engineering (ME paper). The department tracks and celebrates students who crack GATE and secure positions in BHEL, SAIL, ONGC, GAIL, NTPC, and other core engineering PSUs.
